Jay works as an Aviation Safety Inspector at FAA Headquarters in Washington, DC, in the Flight Standards Service, Air Carrier Maintenance Branch. Jay is responsible for all Maintenance Human Factor aspects related to the Air Carrier Maintenance Division. His other duties include working FAA Safety Recommendations, preparing guidance materials, Rulemaking, Maintenance Voluntary Reporting, preparing and reviewing briefing documents, responding to Internal FAA, NTSB, and Congressional issues. Jay joined FAA in 2004 after 25 + years with US Airways where he worked as a FAA licensed Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic, Lead Mechanic, Inspector and Labor Director of Flight Safety. Jay holds a Commercial Pilots License, with an Instrument, and Multi Engine rating, and is a Certified Ground and Flight Instructor.

Bill is a Washington, DC employee, working from the Southern Region HQ in Atlanta. He joined FAA, as a Senior Executive, in 2004. He is an Aviation Maintenance Technician and a pilot for 40 years. He has served as a Designated Mechanic Examiner for the FAA. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois. Bill spent 25+ years as a Senior Executive and Scientist for Engineering Companies specializing in Technical Training and Human Factors, including Lufthansa Technical Training. For 13 years, as a contractor, he managed the FAA Office of Aviation Medicine team for research on Human Factors in Aviation Maintenance and Inspection. Bill Johnson is a long-standing member of the International Society of Air Safety Investigators and the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society. He is a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society. In 2005 Bill was honored by the Aviation Week Group with the MRO Safety Award "recognizing outstanding commitment to safety through the use of effective and modern techniques, processes, procedures, and actions." In June 2006 Bill received the FAA Administrator's Award for "Use of Plain Language" for his work on The Operator's Manual for Human Factors in Aviation Maintenance.

Glen works in Washington, DC in the Human Factors Research and Engineering Group of the Air Traffic Organizations Planning Division. Glen has a MS in Information Science and a BA in Industrial Psychology. After working many years in the computer industry and supporting military aircraft projects, Glen joined the FAA in 2002 as an Engineering Research Psychologist in the Aviation Safety Organization (AVS) supporting the avionics certification function. In 2006 he moved to the ATO-P Human Factors Group and became Maintenance HF Research Program Manager. Glen has experience in the realms of designing for maintainability and maintenance training and experience in applying human factors in maintenance functions as the human factors representative in a cargo airline maintenance department. Glen has an extensive background in computer software and hardware architecture and implementation, a quickly expanding design basis for aircraft and general NAS systems.
