Maintenance Human Factors Training
Question: Where can I obtain information about Human Factors Maintenance Training including schedule, prices, etc.
Answers: FAA does not keep a list of training vendors, schedules, and products. I know that FAA does not formally endorse specific products of this kind. Like any product/service there many providers. It is always tough to find the right one. Try to clearly identify your specifications and then select based on those requirements. A few suggestions:
- Use Google. There a lot of hits on HF training companies.
- Attend the World Aviation Training Symposium, FAA-ATA HF Meeting, and similar meetings where there will be providers of Mx HF Training.

Part 145 Training FAA Guidance
Question: What is the current requirement for Human Factors Training for Repair Stations?
Answer: "Human Factors Training" has been in the forefront in the aviation industry for a couple of years, and has come down as a "suggested requirement?" from the EASA folks, the FAA, and is now a highly suggested ISO9000/AS9100 topic for regulated FAA Repair Stations.
Part 145 Training Resources
Question: Some of FAA websites said a free CD covering ” Human Factors Training” is available. In AC 120-72 Maintenance Resource Management Training, on page four it mentions that we could request the CD ROM free on-line to those in the US.
Answer: That is an old AC and those CDs are rare. I do have about 25 and will send one to him. Our website that had this material on it has been out of order for 12 months with redevelopment in progress. Go to the temporary site: http://hfskyway.faa.gov/2007/ for information.
