WELCOME TO THE AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE HUMAN FACTORS WEB PORTAL

Welcome to the FAA's Aircraft Maintenance Human Factors Web Portal. The original hfskyway.gov was launched in 1995 and has evolved to this new site.  It offers document access and services, including most of the documents dating back to the 1988 start of FAA's maintenance human factors R&D program. New documents include videos, PowerPoint presentations, and other media. Please let us know how this new site works for you as we continue to add materials.

How to Use the Site ...
You can access all the information on this website through the use of FILE TABS such as the “Find Info” tab  found near the top of the page.  When you click on a tab additional tabs (sub-tabs) will be made available for your selection that will refine your search for information.  These tabs and sub-tabs are your doors to all the resources in the site. Use the WEBSITE HELP tab to learn more about the site and how to use it.
MX Website Updates

Our new website will continue to evolve and be refined to improve its usability and effectiveness. This information box will identify the changes made.

Finding Information

There is a great deal of information in this site’s database. To find what you need, select the “Search for Information” sub-tab under the “Find Info” tab. This will present a set of search boxes which can be used to describe what you need.  The search results will present all documents in the library pertaining to your request. Note: Some of the document titles are not descriptive of their content, but these documents do contain the information you requested on the search page. Open the document to see if it is something you need. This function will become more effective in the future.

A second approach is to select the “Find Info” tab and see if any of the sub-tabs identify the specific type of information for which you are looking.
